"Everybody has won, and all must have prizes."
The Dodo in Alice in Wonderland

Together We Can Defeat Capitalism and e://MISSION participate in the gift economy by hosting gratis low tea at the Guerrilla Tea Room. Anyone who visits during this month- long event will be served free tea and cake. "Let them eat cake," said Marie Antoinette- and now they really will!

The "Guerrilla Tea Room" functions as an act of generosity in a City (and age) of self-interest. A Mad Hatter's Tea Party with an anti-capitalist twist, the Guerrilla Tea Room reinvents the English upper class tea ritual in the spirit of Food Not Bombs. Tea Room patrons will enjoy free tea and cake, gaze into the looking glass, contemplate the rabbit hole and brew sedition against the consumerist status quo. This community and media event will feature collaborations with Amy Berk, Eugene Marsh, Megan Wilson - Sign Painter; Nick Foy - Baker; the e://MISSION crew and others.

e://MISSION is a new project space presenting work by artists, curators and critical theorists that forms new hybrid combinations between traditional disciplines and emerging cultures. Located in San Francisco's Mission District, e://MISSION displaces perceived conceptual parameters by forging dynamic interactions between cultural producers and their audience/market.
